I started learning about pigeons when they started appearing close to where I work. I had seen them in parks and trails a lot, and we had a mutual agreement where I would leave them alone as long as they left me alone. That agreement was too hard to continue when they started to encroach upon my personal space at home though. The park was theirs, but I did not want my property to be their bathroom. I looked up bird control companies when I continued to see more and more as the weeks went on. I knew that I needed to take care of the problem before it became too big.
I also figured it would be less expensive to handle since there were only a few dozen that were wanting to take up residence on my property. I knew that a few dozen could turn into a few hundred in less than a year, and I certainly did not want to have to deal with that problem! I looked up residential pigeon removal, and that is how I found the company that became my heroes.
I was impressed with the inspection that this company did on my property. I have a detached two car garage as well as two sheds. There is also an older barn that I do not use, and they suspected that was the main issue. When they inspected it, they actually found dozens of places where the pigeons were setting up home. They were able to use nets in some areas and metal spikes in others. They made sure every area where a pigeon could roost was taken care of, and I am a believer in both nets and spikes because I have not had anything other than songbirds visit me in the months since they have implemented these bird control options.
